Participatory Budgeting and Monitoring in Korca and Pogradec
The project aimed at strengthening community participation in governance and civil society, through their involvement in all stages of the budget cycle that is related to: identification of investment according to local needs, assessing the capacity to support the projects, preparation of budget proposal in Municipality Council, overseeing the procession of the adoption of the budget, monitoring and evaluation of public works and the continuation of the process.more

DESIGNING A PPP STRATEGY FOR KORCA MUNICIPALITY
This project aims improving local governance focused on better service delivery and increase the welfare at a large for its citizens through. City of Korca aims to achieve this through improving the housing conditions of the families in need by using properly the municipal local assets that are recently to be transferred from the state to the ownership of the city, through developing a successful PPP.more


Promoting Fiscal Transparency in Balkans
CRS is currently implementing the Promoting Fiscal Transparency in the Balkans project. This initiative aims at increasing the level of transparency surrounding public budgets both at the national and at the local levels in Albania, Serbia-Montenegro, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. URI was contracted by CRS to build the capacity of project staff and partners. URI designed and facilitated a three-day training for ten participants. The purpose of the training was to provide CRS staff and partners with the latest theories and practices related to civil society budget work with a special emphasis on successful examples from the Balkans. more
