Organizational profile

The Urban Research Institute (URI) is a non-profit policy research organization established as a legal entity in Tirana in May 1999. URI headquarter is based in Tirana and much of the work is carried out throughout Albania. The organization was established as partnership of professionals and experts with like-minded ideas and ambitions. It is governed by a Board of Trustees, and is managed by a Director who is delegated by the Board.

Uri’s general management philosophy is to emphasize and encourage the decentralization of responsibility, authority and accountability.
